How to Measure Your Feet
What You'll Need

- • A piece of paper
- • A pen or pencil
- • A wall
- • The socks you'll typically wear
Best Time to Measure
• Late afternoon or evening when feet are at their largest
• After walking around for a while
• While wearing the type of socks you plan to wear with your shoes
Step-by-Step Instructions
Place Paper Against Wall
Put a piece of paper on the floor against a wall. Make sure it's flat and won't slip.
Position Your Foot
Stand with your heel against the wall and your foot flat on the paper.
Mark the Longest Toe
Make a mark at the tip of your longest toe (usually the big toe or second toe).
Measure Length
Measure from the wall to the mark you made. This is your foot length.
Measure Width
Measure across the widest part of your foot (usually across the ball of your foot).
Repeat for Both Feet
Measure both feet as they can differ in size. Use the larger measurement.
